The Canadian Independent Paralegal Association, better known as CIPA, is providing many legal support services to both the general public and attorneys. Based out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, CIPA sub-contracts with over 200 paralegals. CIPAÂs mission is the provide prompt, accurate and affordable legal relief across North America.

Products and services available in MYLILOFFICE include e-fax setup, software downloads along with many links to online virus programs, free marketing tools, departmental chat rooms, training rooms and even a break room! MYLILOFFICE offers both the private attorney and the general public an opportunity to utilize products and services offered by CIPA.
Along with expert legal document preparation to the general public, CIPA newly launched its ÂGideon and ÂGoliath projects to aid abandoned parents with divorce and bankruptcy document preparation. CIPA understands the difficulties a parent can experience when abandoned by their spouse. When divorce or bankruptcy is imminent in such situations, CIPAÂs new projects allow struggling parents to obtain legal documentation at one-half the normal rate charged a customer.
Slated to catch the private attorneyÂs eye is CIPAÂs new upgraded software titled ÂFamily Lawyer Software – Millennium Edition. The program offers legal forms, including but not limited to divorce petitions and federal bankruptcy documents and operates from a Corel WordPerfect 8.0 or higher platform. For ease of use, the software includes intake sheets that match question fields and includes regional and state-specific information and law, making it a universal program. From start to finish, a 200 page divorce can be generated in as little as 30 minutes.
CIPAÂs Attorney Support Services division also has the private attorney in mind with their web-based legal documentation preparation. The website allows an attorney to pay a low rate for quality legal documents when they need it as opposed to having a staff of paralegals to perform the work. The attorney can also benefit from using ARC, the most advanced personalized legal research engine to date. Powered by CIPA paralegals, an attorney submits any question, legal or otherwise, and within fifteen minutes CIPA provides not only one answer but typically several on-point solutions.
The Attorney Marketing Division at CIPA offers the private attorneys who use CIPA document preparation or research services, free web site design. ÂMost attorneys have a domain name but no time to weed through the mechanics of how to make it work for them. Being online via the web is critical to future trends for attorneys who wish to be successful and stay successful says Deborah Dolen, Program and Product Development Consultant for CIPA.
CIPA, in conjunction with Amnesty Press International, provides a home- study program for those individuals who wish to become an Independent Paralegal to work with CIPA or to own and operate their own legal forms typing clinic. The program is concentrated and short in nature, only teaching the student what truly helps the public and is lucrative for an entrepreneur. The program was put together by legal and business professionals with years of industry experience.
Along with the study program, comes CIPAÂs virtual one week on-line ÂBoot Camp. Developed by Ms. Dolen, Bootcamp teaches a student how to run a cyber-office, electronic transport of documents, web design and office management. The program is designed to be very affordable and includes many essential and free downloadable software and tools. The course is taught by a live voice chat room method.
